b'A L E T T E R F R O M O U R P U B L I S H E RDear Booksellers,Over a year has passed since I joined Kregel as publisher, and what a year it has been! Before I share whats next, lets look back to the DNA of who Kregel is, with our six key distinctives:TrustedIndependent / Family ownedBiblically based contentAgileCopublish in SpanishBookstore savvyKregels next goal is to be intentional about expressing who we are, beyond the walls of our building. I traveled extensively during the spring and summer, serving on faculty at six writers conferences from West Coast to East Coast, as well as in the Midwest. I met with authors, agents, and licensing partners and sensed a growing curiosity and interest in what Kregel is up to. As I shared with Publishers Weekly at ACFW, Were poised for growth.*It soon became clear that Kregel was in need of a fresh logo. Through the years Kregel has had several imprints, each with a differ-ent logo. Those imprints remain, but we have simplified our look, with all imprints under one Kregel logo. The word Kregel always appears on the top line, with the imprint name under it, so that customers and consumers always see Kregel first. The story line of this logo is rich with meaning. The letter K is modernized to show that we are relevant to todays needs, and it extends upward and outward, representing our relationship with God and our relationship with others. The arm and the leg of the letter hint at the shape of a book, or tablet, opening from different angles or perspectives, since Kregel offers a broad range of topics, genres, and points of view. The blue color reminds us of life-giving water. From a spiritual perspective, Jesus, the water of life, quenches our thirst for God, cleanses us, and encourages us to grow. In Revelation 21:6 Jesus says, To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life (NLT).I invite you to take a look at whats in store for spring/summer 2020. From fiction, nonfiction, and childrens, to academic com-mentariesincluding another volume of Kerux and an addition to the 40 Questions seriesKregels list is also rich with meaning. As we venture into the spring season, I want to thank you for all you do to provide Christian resources that encourage spiritual growth. We are honored to partner with you!Regards, Catherine DeVries, Publisher, Kregel Publications*See Emma Wenner, ACFW 2019: Changing Market Creates New Publishing Opportunities, Publishers Weekly, October 1, 2019, https://bit.ly/2RfGkugwww.kregel.com 3'
