March 06, 2023

GRAND RAPIDS, MI-- On March 2, 2023, the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference announced the finalists for their annual Selah Awards. In this announcement, seven Kregel titles were named.

Colorful Connections (Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith and Lori Stanley Roeleveld) was named a finalist in General Nonfiction; Fruit Full (Christie Thomas) in Children's Literature; Death to Deconstruction (Joshua S. Porter) in Christian Life; When Stone Wings Fly (Karen Barnett) in General Fiction; Circle of Vengeance (Ramona Richards) in Mystery & Suspense; The Songs That Could Have Been (Amanda Wen) in Historical Romance; and Shadows in the Mind's Eye (Janyre Tromp) in Historical Biblical.

In Colorful Connections, authors Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith and Lori Stanley Roeleveld offer a transparent and open dialogue about race, privilege, bias, and discrimination.

Fruit Full is a family devotional that offers real understanding for how God covers each of us with his goodness and love, and how the Spirit will help your kids grow in their own beautiful, Jesus-reflecting character.

Death to Deconstruction is "a heart-wrenchingly honest account from someone who deconstructed and returned to tell the tale" (Mark Sayers).

When Stone Wings Fly is a dual-time historical fiction novel rich with the culture and history of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Circle of Vengeance is the second in author Ramona Richards' cold case series featuring P.I. Star Cavanaugh.

The Songs That Could Have Been is a dual-time historical romance featuring a contemporary couple struggling to mend their past relationship and the mysterious, heart-breaking past love of an aging woman.

Shadows in the Mind's Eye is historical fiction about a married couple who must rebuild trust with each other after the psychological trauma suffered in World War II--and the unexpected dangers of the home front.

Kregel is pleased to congratulate all these finalists. The full list was announced by Selah Awards director Eva Everson in a YouTube video, which can be viewed here.
