March 14, 2023

GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- On March 9, 2023, four Kregel titles were announced as finalists in the 2022 Foreword INDIES Awards.

The Songs That Could Have Been by Amanda Wen is a finalist in religious adult fiction. Authors in the Christian historical fiction genre have declared Wen’s second book in her series as "fresh," "brilliant," "intricately crafted," and "timeless."

When Stone Wings Fly by Karen Barnett is also a finalist in religious adult fiction. With "pitch-perfect research and incomparable heart" (Rachel McMillan), Barnett's historically accurate account of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and her split-time narrative come together to create a story readers won’t be able to put down.

O Little Town, a novella collection by authors Janyre Tromp, Amanda Wen, and Deborah Raney, is a finalist in romance. In this charming collection of novellas, join three generations of Mapleview, Michigan, residents longing for love--and finding it--on the most wonderful night of the year.

40 Questions About Prayer by Joseph C. Harrod is a finalist in religious adult nonfiction. Harrod's emphasis on searching the Scriptures results in a trustworthy, practical guide to a vital aspect of Christian belief and behavior, equally appropriate for seminary courses, Bible studies, and personal understanding.
